Double Shooting in the Bronx: One Fatality and Ongoing Investigation

NEW YORK, NY – On Thursday morning, two individuals were shot in the Bronx. Sadly, one of them passed away shortly after being taken to a nearby hospital.

At approximately 12:32 AM on Thursday, a 911 call alerted the police about gunshots in the vicinity of East 213 Street and Holland Avenue, within the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon reaching the location, officers discovered a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right leg.

Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, where he is currently in stable condition.

Further investigation revealed that a second victim, a 26-year-old man, had been privately taken to Montefiore Medical Center.

He had sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and shoulder and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed pending notification of his family members.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
