South Los Angeles Accident Leaves Three Children and Four Adults Hospitalized

Seven individuals, including three young children, found themselves hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon following a multi-vehicle accident in South Los Angeles’ Florence-Firestone neighborhood, as confirmed by officials.

The incident took place shortly after 1 p.m. in the 200 block of West 81st Street, just east of the 110 Freeway, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department. Three vehicles were caught up in the collision.

The hospitalized individuals encompassed three young girls aged 5 months, 4 years, and 5 years, respectively; two women aged 24 and 36; and two men aged 28 and 40, according to information provided by the Fire Department.

In a subsequent update, it was revealed that the two men and the 36-year-old woman were in critical condition, while the three children and the 24-year-old woman were in fair condition. Additional details about the patients were not immediately available.

Video footage from AIR7 HD depicted at least one of the vehicles colliding with a power pole, resulting in severe damage to the front of the vehicle.

The exact cause of the accident is presently under investigation. Initially, authorities reported that four vehicles were involved in the collision.
