A man has been taken into custody on charges of posing as a law enforcement officer and conducting unauthorized traffic stops in the vicinity of East Valinda, near Nogales High School.
The individual in question was apprehended by officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), who have subsequently launched an inquiry into these illicit traffic stops.

Photographs, initially disclosed by the LASD and later broadcast by CBS Los Angeles, display an unidentified man garbed in a complete police uniform, positioned near an unofficial police motorcycle.
The suspect was reportedly in possession of law enforcement paraphernalia, including a bulletproof vest, an emergency radio, a badge, and a holster for a stun gun, seemingly attempting to convincingly imitate a legitimate officer.
The LASD is actively delving into the motive behind these illegal traffic stops and is reaching out to anyone who may have been impacted by the impersonator.
