Police Apprehend 59-Year-Old Woman in South San Francisco Sex Enterprise Case

On October 19, the South San Francisco Police Department apprehended a 59-year-old woman, accusing her of overseeing a commercial sex enterprise.

An apartment situated on the 400 block of Cypress Avenue came under the scrutiny of the SSFPD Criminal Interdiction Unit due to suspicions of hosting a commercial sex operation. After a thorough investigation and surveillance, detectives were able to confirm activities consistent with the premises functioning as an active brothel.

The diligent work of the officers led to the execution of a search warrant, revealing two potential victims or workers and two individuals involved in the solicitation of sexual services. Substantial monetary evidence supporting an ongoing operation was seized.

The 59-year-old woman has been charged with offenses related to pimping and pandering.

The victims and workers received support and services through the efforts of San Mateo County’s Human Trafficking Program Coordinator.
