SUSPECT: Justin Ray Turner-Gollehon 29 YOA Bakersfield resident
On 8/2/2019, at about 0445 hours, Officers from the Ridgecrest Police Department were dispatched to a report of a vehicle theft in the 200 block of W. Rader Ave. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim in this case. The victim reported his pickup truck was stolen from his driveway sometime during the night.
On 8/3/2019, at about 0145 hours, K-9 Officer Plunkett and Ofc. Franco were on patrol near the 100 block of S. China Lake Blvd., when they observed a vehicle that matched the description of the stolen pickup truck. As they pulled behind the vehicle, they noticed that the license plates had been removed. K-9 Officer Plunkett recognized the faint outline of a sticker that had previously been on the vehicle. A felony traffic stop was initiated and the driver of the stolen vehicle was taken into custody. The driver was identified as Justin Turner-Gollehon, a Bakersfield resident.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located suspected methamphetamine as well as controlled substance paraphernalia. Additionally, follow-up was conducted by officers that led them to a local motel where Turner-Gollehon had been staying. Officers located additional stolen property from the original theft as well as stolen property from another theft from a vehicle.
