1 dead in car fire in Shadow Hills
A person is dead after a car caught fire in Shadow Hills Wednesday morning.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to 10200 block of West Lanark Street just after 9 a.m. for reports of an unconscious person inside a burning vehicle, officials said in a news alert.
By the time firefighters arrived, however, the person inside the vehicle was already beyond medical help, the LAFD said.
That person’s name, gender and age have not been released.
Officials did not release any information about the cause of the blaze or the events that led up to the person’s death, but aerial footage from Sky5 shows that the vehicle appears to have struck a tree.
