A California man was caught early Saturday morning on charges that he stabbed two people and attacked two others.
Ventura Police say that 22-year-old Efrain Troncoso was arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and attempted car theft.
The first crime happened just after 7 a.m. near Ash Street and Thompson Boulevard. A guy on a bicycle stabbed him in the back, according to the victim.
A guy was being helped by police when a woman called 911 to say that someone had stabbed her in the neck while she was walking on Chestnut Street.
A few minutes later, another man said that someone had robbed him and hit him in the head with a metal stick.
While police searched the area for the suspect, someone else called 911 to report that someone had robbed them at knifepoint and taken their car keys.
In less than 30 minutes, all four strikes took place within five blocks of each other.
The police caught Troncoso inside a car he had broken into while trying to start it with stolen keys. He was then arrested.
Troncoso had been arrested several times in Moorpark, most recently last week for allegedly setting fires and resisting arrest. He was freed on Nov. 12 for those charges, according to police. Besides that, he had been arrested before for being high on a controlled drug.
