22-Year-Old Woman’s Life Lost in Attempted Vehicle Removal

A 22-year-old young woman lost her life in an unfortunate incident early Saturday when she was electrocuted while attempting to move a vehicle away from an electrical box after a collision.

As per the San Diego Police, the victim was a passenger in a 2014 Kia Forte that was heading southbound on Euclid Avenue in the Ridgeview/Webster neighborhood around 2:30 a.m.

The Kia swerved off course, crossed the sidewalk, and collided with an electrical box. Subsequently, both the driver, a 31-year-old woman, and the passenger exited the vehicle.

According to the police report, “The passenger tried to push the vehicle off the electrical box and was electrocuted.”

Tragically, the victim was declared dead at the scene. The driver suffered minor electrical burns and was transported to a hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed.

The investigation into the accident is being handled by the SDPD Traffic Division.
