3 dead in brutal two-car crash in City of Industry, driver arrested
A violent two-car collision in the City of Industry resulted in three deaths and an arrest, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at the intersection of Temple and Azusa avenues around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday and involved a gray Jeep and a black vehicle.
The Jeep T-boned the black vehicle causing both to roll over, a CHP spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.
Video from the scene taken by KTLA shows the mangled vehicles at the intersection; while the Jeep remained relatively intact on its side, the other vehicle was damaged beyond recognition.
It was confirmed that two of the deaths were occupants of the black vehicle. The third victim was transported to a hospital where they later died, but officials were not immediately able to verify which vehicle they were in.
The driver of the Jeep was arrested, according to CHP; however, the CHP spokesperson could not confirm if they were charged with DUI.
No further details were released.
