9 Hospitalized, 2 Critical After Multi-vehicle Crash Shuts Down I-35 Near Denton

DENTON, Texas—According to officials, nine individuals have been hospitalized after a multi-vehicle incident closed a portion of I-35 near Denton.

Around 1 p.m., there was a crash on I-35’s northbound side near the Milam Road bridge and Cowling Road. The highway reopened at 4 p.m.

According to Denton police, nine persons have been hospitalized, two of them are in severe condition.

Denton police are directing cars headed northbound on I-35 in the area to exit at Cowling Road.

WFAA helicopter footage from the area shows a damaged van and trailer, a truck, and several first responders.
