La Crosse, WI – A quick burst of snow is expected to impact portions of Wisconsin from Friday afternoon into early Saturday, with accumulations between 2 and 5 inches. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 2 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday for central, north-central, southwest, and west-central Wisconsin.

According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, snowfall could lead to slippery road conditions, especially during the Friday evening commute. Areas including La Crosse, Sparta, Medford, Platteville, and Prairie du Chien are expected to see the highest impact. While most snow will taper off by early Saturday, forecasters note the potential for additional snowfall later in the weekend.
