Seattle, WA – A winter weather advisory remains in effect across western Washington, with additional snow accumulation expected through Friday morning. Areas including Tacoma, Olympia, and the East Puget Sound Lowlands could see 1 to 2 inches of wet snow.
According to the National Weather Service, the advisory is in place until 10 a.m. Friday. The snowfall is expected to create slippery road conditions, especially impacting Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. Areas south of I-90 are likely to receive the heaviest accumulation, while regions north of King County may see little to no snow.
Residents should use caution while traveling and prepare for potential power outages. Authorities recommend slowing down on the roads and allowing extra travel time.
The winter weather follows a series of cold fronts sweeping across the Pacific Northwest. While snowfall totals are expected to remain light, untreated roads and bridges could become hazardous, particularly in the early morning hours.
Travelers should check for updates from local transportation departments and the National Weather Service before heading out.
