Eligibility for Income:
The Federal Poverty Line (FPL) shall not exceed 200% of household income. The size of a family determines the income thresholds:
A household with two people: Income must not exceed $40,880 per year.
The income ceiling rises by about $10,760 for every extra family member.
The composition of the family:
Families must have at least one child who is five years old or younger and spends at least half of their time with them. To confirm eligibility, documentation such as confirmation of custody or guardianship may be needed.
Prioritization of Demographics:
Priority is given to families with children from Black/African American, Alaska Native, or American Indian populations. Addressing historical racial gaps in access to resources and economic opportunities is the goal of this approach.
