Suspect arrested in $140,000 Orange County vape shop burglary 

A suspect was arrested in connection with a $140,000 vape shop burglary in Orange County.

The suspect was identified as Toan Vo, 31, of Westminster, according to the Irvine Police Department. 

In August 2024, the owners of a vape shop in east Irvine reported a suspect had broken into the store and escaped with $140,000 from a safe.

Detectives collected evidence and began searching for leads. Recently, DNA evidence from one of the items was positively matched to Vo, police said.

On March 10, Vo was located and taken into custody. Body cam footage showed Vo being handcuffed outside a home and placed into a patrol car.

He was arrested for burglary and booked at the Orange County Jail. No further details were released as the case remains under investigation.
