L.A. Marathon road closures: View the full list and interactive map

Drivers in Los Angeles should be prepared for a large number of road closures related to the 40th running of the Los Angeles Marathon presented by Asics on Sunday, March 16.

The 26.2-mile racecourse begins at Dodger Stadium and travels through Chinatown, Echo Park, Silver Lake, Thai Town, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Westwood, with the finish line in Century City.

The majority of the race travels along Sunset, Hollywood and Santa Monica boulevards, and crossing the course is not allowed.

Road closures start as early as 3 a.m. and impact both surface streets and ramps along the 101 and 405 freeways.

The races begin at 7 a.m., and streets will reopen on a rolling basis as athletes complete the course.
