Grand Junction, CO – A stretch of unseasonably warm weather is on the way for western Colorado, with Grand Junction expected to see near-record highs by Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will gradually rise through the weekend. Friday will be sunny with a high of 52°F, while Saturday and Sunday will climb to 53°F and 59°F, respectively. By Monday, the area could reach 65°F, significantly above the seasonal average.
These warm conditions come with mostly clear skies and light winds, making for an ideal weekend to spend outdoors. However, drivers should remain cautious of melting snow refreezing overnight, especially on I-70 and shaded roadways. Morning lows will still dip into the 20s and 30s, creating potential slick spots in some areas.
Looking ahead, the mild trend is expected to continue into next week, with highs staying in the 60s before a potential cooldown midweek. No significant precipitation is in the forecast, but residents should stay updated in case of changes.
With near-record warmth in store, it’s a perfect time to enjoy the sunshine before winter makes a return.
