Central Illinois Weekend Weather: Rain Friday, Temperatures Climbing into the 50s

Springfield, IL – Showers will linger across central Illinois on Friday, but a warm and dry weekend is on the way.
The National Weather Service reports storm total rainfall will range from 0.25 to 0.75 inches across the region. Higher amounts above 0.75 inches are possible from Macomb to Minonk and south of the I-64 corridor.
Once the showers end, temperatures will rise, bringing a mild weekend. Saturday will see highs in the mid-40s, while Sunday will reach the upper 50s. Dry conditions will continue into early next week.
Monday and Tuesday will remain mild, with temperatures in the mid-50s. The dry stretch is expected to last through at least midweek.
Residents should prepare for wet roads Friday but can expect a comfortable weekend. Keep an eye on local forecasts for any updates.
