Will County Authorities Search for 2024 Arson Suspect, Homeowner, in $200K Fire

Crest Hill, IL – Crest Hill police are searching for a man accused of setting fire to a vacant home, causing up to $200,000 in damages.
According to the Lockport Township Fire Protection District, investigators worked with Crest Hill police to identify Zach Siegel, 41, of the 2400 block of Hacker Drive, as the suspect. The fire occurred on May 10, 2024, in the 1200 block of Caton Farm Road.
Officials charged Siegel with arson, a Class 2 felony, and issued a warrant for his arrest. A copy of the warrant was provided to Siegel’s attorney, but he has not turned himself in.
Authorities are urging the public to report any sightings or information about Siegel’s whereabouts. Anyone with details should contact the Lockport Township Fire Protection District or the Crest Hill Police Department.
