Third earthquake shakes San Bernardino

A third earthquake, this time 3.6 in magnitude, shook the Inland Empire on Monday.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the quake hit at 9:58 p.m. about 3.1 miles north-northeast of San Bernardino, and its depth was about 5.1 miles.

This comes after the area was already hit by a pair of earthquakes at or above 3.0 in magnitude on Monday morning.

  • First San Bernardino earthquake

The first quake hit at 9:44 a.m. as a preliminary 3.5 magnitude, followed by a second quake, this one a 3.0, at 9:48 a.m.

No significant damage was immediately reported from any of the three earthquakes.
