Corpus Christi, TX – A cold front moving through South Texas will bring a sharp drop in temperatures tonight before a warm-up arrives this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, highs today will reach the mid-70s along the coast and near 90°F inland. However, a cold front arriving tonight will drop overnight temperatures into the low 40s to mid-50s. Breezy conditions will bring wind chills in the upper 30s to low 50s by early Thursday morning.

The front will keep temperatures cooler through Thursday and Friday, with highs ranging from the low 50s to mid-60s. A slight 20-30% chance of showers is possible through Saturday. Warmer conditions return Saturday as highs climb into the upper 70s to mid-80s, with sunny skies expected into early next week.

Beachgoers should take caution, as rip current risks remain low but present, especially near piers and jetties. Water temperatures are in the lower 60s, with wave heights around 3 feet.

Residents should prepare for fluctuating temperatures and breezy conditions, particularly during the morning hours.
