Millinocket, ME – A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Northern Penobscot and Southeast Aroostook Counties from 5 a.m. Thursday until midnight due to heavy snow and mixed precipitation.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Caribou, snowfall rates could exceed 1 inch per hour, with total accumulations ranging between 5 and 9 inches. A light glaze of ice is also expected, which could make travel hazardous.
