Stroudsburg, PA – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with icy conditions expected to impact the Thursday morning commute.
According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, the advisory covers Carbon and Monroe Counties in Pennsylvania until 10 a.m., and Morris and Sussex Counties in New Jersey until 9 a.m. Light ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch are expected in Pennsylvania, while New Jersey could see a light glaze of ice.
Drivers should prepare for slippery road conditions and reduced visibility. The morning commute could be hazardous, particularly on untreated surfaces. Officials urge motorists to slow down and use caution while traveling.
For the latest road conditions, residents can dial 511 in their respective states. The winter weather is expected to clear later in the morning as temperatures rise.
