Birmingham, AL – Showers are likely to develop late this afternoon, bringing measurable rain to much of the Birmingham area by tonight. Monday will remain cloudy, with scattered showers lingering into the morning hours and highs in the low 50s.
According to the National Weather Service, rain chances peak near 100% tonight after 9 p.m., with totals reaching up to three-quarters of an inch. Temperatures tonight will dip to the low 40s. Commuters Monday morning should prepare for wet roadways, particularly along major routes like I-65 and Highway 280.
Looking ahead, Tuesday brings a brief reprieve, with mostly sunny skies and highs near 58°F. By Wednesday, clouds return, accompanied by a 30% chance of rain and highs in the low 60s. Cooler conditions follow Thursday, with highs in the mid-50s under partly cloudy skies.
