Alabama Weekend Forecast: Thunderstorms Tonight, Sunny Skies Ahead for Huntsville

Huntsville, AL – Thunderstorms are expected to move through Huntsville overnight, bringing gusty winds and heavy rain before clearing into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms will develop overnight, with a chance of a strong storm between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Winds could gust up to 30 mph, and rain totals may reach a half-inch. Temperatures will remain mild, with overnight lows near 59°F.

Friday will see lingering showers in the morning before clearing in the afternoon, with highs reaching 64°F. A slight chance of thunderstorms remains into the evening before clouds begin to clear.

By Saturday, conditions will improve significantly, bringing mostly sunny skies and a high near 60°F. Sunday and Monday will continue the warming trend, with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s under mostly sunny skies.

Drivers should use caution Friday morning due to slick roads from overnight rain. Travelers should also monitor conditions for any possible storm development.

This weekend offers a break from the rain, making it a great time to enjoy outdoor activities before another slight rain chance returns midweek.
