Amazon hiring thousands of workers across Southern California

Amazon is looking to hire thousands of new workers across Southern California.

The massive e-commerce company is hiring more than 2,000 full-time and part-time workers in the Inland Empire area.

The company opened two inbound cross-dock facilities in Fontana and Jurupa Valley.

“These new inbound cross docks are designed to receive and prepare goods for Amazon’s fulfillment centers,” the company said Tuesday. “Similar to distribution centers, they play a crucial role in quickly moving goods through Amazon’s logistics network, enhancing efficiency in the supply chain.”

The starting pay will be $20.75 per hour and includes access to benefits such as healthcare, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave, pre-paid college tuition and upskilling opportunities, flexible schedules and more.

“Amazon’s investment in the Inland Empire, bringing over 2,000 new jobs, is a significant boost to our local economy,” said Paul Granillo, President and CEO of the Inland Empire Economic Partnership. “This initiative provides valuable employment opportunities with competitive wages and benefits. We’re excited about the positive impact this will have on our workforce and the broader community.”
