Another storm building after snow, rain fall on Southern California
A quick-hitting storm Sunday dropped rain across Southern California and brought several inches of snow to the San Bernardino Mountains as forecasters monitor another system slated to arrive midweek.
Video showed plows clearing the roads early Monday morning after snow fell in the Running Springs area overnight.
A winter weather advisory remains in effect for areas of the San Bernardino and Riverside county mountains until 4 p.m.

The system is moving out of the area Monday morning but below average temperatures are expected to linger.
Gusty afternoon winds may also continue through the day as a wind advisory is in place through 3 a.m. Tuesday and a high wind warning through 4 a.m.
“That’s ahead of our next major storm system that arrives between Tuesday night and Thursday,” KTLA’s Kirk Hawkins said.
The midweek system is expected to be more powerful than the one over the weekend and bring periods of moderate rain, mountain snow, and gusty winds, according to the National Weather Service.
“Rainfall amounts with the storm look to range between 0.50 to 1.00 inch across the coast and valleys with up to 1.00 to 3.00 inches in the mountains,” the Weather Service stated.
A storm is also predicted to move over the region early next week.
