Arkansas Man Pleads Guilty to Murder in Deadly Block Party Shooting

Wynne, AR – A Marion man has pleaded guilty to murder in connection with a deadly block party shooting that left one person dead and nine others injured in Wynne.

Tommie Frost, 19, entered his guilty plea Monday in Cross County Circuit Court, admitting to Second-Degree Murder and Firearm Possession charges stemming from the April 13, 2024, shooting near Williams Avenue and Martin Luther King Street. The gunfire killed 27-year-old Varian Campbell and injured nine others, with two victims struck by vehicles during the chaos.

According to Arkansas State Police, Frost was one of four suspects arrested on April 16, 2024, in connection with the shooting. He was sentenced to 20 years for murder and an additional 10 years for firearm possession, with the sentences running concurrently in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

The other three suspects—Quaverius Milon, Carl Washington, and Cameron Crawford—remain in custody as they await court dates. All four were initially charged with First-Degree Murder, nine counts of First-Degree Battery, and nine counts of Engaging in Violent Criminal Group Activity.
