Arkansas State Police Seize Over a Ton of Marijuana on I-40 in Crawford County

Van Buren, AR – Arkansas State Police (ASP) seized 2,872 pounds of illegal marijuana Monday during a traffic stop on Interstate 40.

Troopers pulled over a tractor-trailer at the two-mile marker in Crawford County for a traffic violation. During the stop, troopers searched the trailer and found seven pallets containing 107 boxes of marijuana.

Authorities arrested the driver, 31-year-old Zhiping Mu of Kent, Washington. Officers transported him to the Crawford County Detention Center.

Mu faces felony charges of trafficking a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond is set at $150,000.
