WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Four individuals have been apprehended for participating in an organized theft operation involving heavy machinery across 14 counties in Florida.
In a press release issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) on Tuesday afternoon, it was revealed that a two-year investigation led to the arrests of Daryl Machado (37), his wife Diana Sanchez (50), Gualberto Rodriguez (74), and Miguel Sanchez Cardosa (48).
These individuals are facing multiple charges, including racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, burglary, grand theft, and dealing in stolen property.
In total, the charges against them amount to 72 felony counts.
The investigation uncovered 28 theft incidents that could be traced back to the four suspects, resulting in a combined value of over $1.7 million worth of stolen goods.
On June 5, Machado and Sanchez were apprehended in Miami by FDLE agents.
Rodriguez was already under arrest in St. Johns County for his alleged involvement in the theft of a skid steer, while Cardosa was arrested in Collier County on June 9.
