A fast-moving winter storm will hit Binghamton, NY, this weekend, bringing widespread snow and freezing rain. Roads may become hazardous Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
According to the National Weather Service Binghamton, a Winter Weather Advisoryhas been issued for the region. Snow will begin Saturday afternoon and intensify in the evening. Forecasts predict 4 to 6 inches of snow, with a light glaze of ice possible.
The heaviest snowfall will occur between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday, making travel dangerous. Freezing rain could worsen road conditions, increasing the risk of accidents.
