The police are asking for help from the public to find a suspect and a possible kidnapped victim in East Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the event happened around 8:30 p.m. on Monday at a bus stop on E. Third Street.
Surveillance video may have caught the possible kidnapping, but the police have not shared the video.
The police say that a woman was trying to get on a bus when a guy approached her from behind. Before the man broke a window on the bus and got a gun from a nearby car, the bus driver and a rider tried to help.

The police say that the man pointed the gun at the bus driver and “seemed to force” the woman into the nearby car. The car then sped away on Third Street, heading east toward the eastbound 60 Freeway.
It isn’t clear if the victim and the person who did this know each other.
The woman who died is said to have brown hair and be in her mid-20s. The suspect is also in his mid-20s. He is about 5’8″ tall and weighs between 170 and 190 pounds.
