Brush fire could threaten structures in San Bernardino
A vegetation fire in San Bernardino has the potential to grow into a structure-threatening blaze, officials said.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department said the 30-acre blaze, dubbed the Little Mountain Fire, began near the intersection of Little Mountain Drive and West Edgehill Road.
It’s currently in “light flashy fuels with a rapid rate of spread,” the department said on X, formerly Twitter.
“Structure threat in approx 20 minutes,” firefighters added. That time equates to about 3:05 p.m.
At about 3:20 p.m., 10 additional engines and two hand crews were requested.
By the time Sky5 arrived at about 3:35 p.m., the fire seemed to be in control, though flames were still visible.
