San Francisco, CA -A stormy start to February continues as heavy rain and potential flooding impact the Bay Area through Sunday. A Flood Watch remains in effect, warning residents of excessive rainfall, rising water levels, and hazardous travel conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, rainfall totals could reach up to 5 inches in higher elevations, with widespread flooding possible in low-lying areas. Roads, including Highway 101 and Interstate 80, may experience standing water, increasing the risk of accidents. Residents should avoid unnecessary travel and prepare for potential road closures.

The storm will continue into Monday, bringing additional rainfall and gusty winds up to 30 mph. By Tuesday, the rain may ease slightly, but showers remain likely through midweek. Temperatures will stay in the 50s, with overnight lows dropping into the 40s.

Looking ahead, drier weather may return by Thursday and Friday, providing relief from the wet start to the month. Stay updated with local alerts and prepare for potential flooding in vulnerable areas.
