Hanford, CA – A freeze warning remains in effect for the San Joaquin Valley until Thursday at 9 a.m., with temperatures expected to drop as low as twenty-nine degrees overnight. Residents should take precautions to protect sensitive plants, pets, and outdoor plumbing from the freezing conditions.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Hanford, widespread frost and patchy dense fog will develop overnight, creating hazardous driving conditions. Motorists should exercise caution, especially in low-lying areas and near waterways, where visibility may be reduced.
Thursday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high near fifty-nine degrees, though cold conditions will persist in the early morning hours. Patchy frost is expected Friday morning, followed by a high of sixty-two degrees under partly sunny skies. A slight chance of rain arrives on Saturday, with increasing cloud cover and a high of sixty-five degrees.
Residents should take precautions by covering plants, bringing pets indoors, and insulating exposed pipes. Drivers are urged to slow down in fog-prone areas to avoid accidents.
