Milwaukee, WI – Dangerous wind chills and frigid temperatures continue to grip Wisconsin, with a cold weather advisory in effect through 9 a.m. Wednesday. Portions of central and eastern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, are experiencing wind chills between -20°F and -25°F, creating hazardous conditions for residents.
According to the National Weather Service, frostbite is possible in as little as 30 minutes for exposed skin. Morning commuters on major routes like I-43 and I-94 should take precautions, as icy conditions and limited visibility may pose risks. Residents are advised to wear layered clothing, limit outdoor exposure, and check on vulnerable neighbors.
Tuesday’s temperatures will struggle to rise above the upper teens, with mostly clear skies expected overnight. Winds from the northwest will keep wind chill values near zero. By Wednesday, daytime highs may reach the low 20s under sunny skies, though wind chills will remain bitter during the early morning hours.
A gradual warm-up is forecast for Thursday, with highs climbing into the mid-30s. By Friday, temperatures could reach the low 40s, offering relief from the arctic blast. However, another round of mixed precipitation may move in Friday night into Saturday.
