Wilmington, OH – Residents across Wilmington should prepare for a bitterly cold weekend as subfreezing temperatures settle over the region. Highs will remain in the 20s, with nighttime lows dipping into the single digits. Wind chills will make it feel even colder, especially along major roadways such as State Route 73 and U.S. Route 22.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 10°F and possible flurries. Saturday promises some sunshine but will only reach a high near 35°F, with gusty southwest winds of up to 16 mph. These conditions will make outdoor activities challenging, so dress warmly and limit prolonged exposure to the cold.

Saturday night will be equally frigid, with temperatures falling to 11°F. Sunday remains cloudy with a high near 32°F, followed by a clearer and slightly warmer Monday, where highs may reach 37°F.

For those traveling this weekend, icy roads and potential visibility issues are possible during overnight and early morning hours. Motorists are advised to check road conditions before heading out and keep an emergency kit in their vehicles.

Looking ahead, Wilmington will see some relief midweek as highs climb into the upper 30s, but the cold air will persist at night, keeping lows in the 20s. Stay informed through local updates to plan accordingly.
