Denver, CO – Snow is set to return to Colorado Wednesday night, bringing icy roads and hazardous conditions, especially along major highways like I-25 and I-70. The National Weather Service warns of moderate to heavy snowfall in the mountains, southern foothills, and Palmer Divide, lasting through Thursday afternoon.

According to the NWS Denver/Boulder, snowfall totals will range from 2 to 6 inches, with locally higher amounts. Drivers should prepare for slick and snow-covered roads during the Thursday morning commute. Officials urge travelers to check road conditions at cotrip.org and allow extra time if driving.

Wednesday night will see increasing clouds and snow showers, with lows in the 20s. Snow will taper off Thursday afternoon, giving way to partly cloudy skies by evening. The rest of the week remains cold, with highs in the 30s and another storm possible by the weekend.
