Denver, CO – Denver residents can expect a temporary break from the ongoing polar vortex as temperatures approach 50 degrees Friday, offering much-needed relief from days of frigid weather. The week remains cold overall, but Friday’s forecast stands out as a brief reprieve.
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday’s high will reach only 32 degrees with breezy northwest winds gusting to 24 mph. Thursday brings similarly chilly conditions with a high near 33, despite mostly sunny skies. Friday, however, will see temperatures climb to 48 degrees, marking the warmest day of the week. Residents are advised to take advantage of the warmer weather before snow chances increase late Friday night into Saturday.
Drivers should be cautious as snow begins Friday night, with accumulations possibly impacting major routes like I-25 and I-70. Saturday’s high drops sharply to 27 degrees, accompanied by ongoing snowfall and icy road conditions. Sunday continues the snowy trend, with a high near 25, making the weekend hazardous for travel.
By Monday, skies clear slightly, and temperatures rise to a high of 35, though overnight lows remain frigid. For those commuting or engaging in outdoor activities, prepare for rapid shifts in road and weather conditions.
