Bridgeport, CT – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for northern Connecticut counties until 7 a.m. Monday, with snow expected to create hazardous road conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, snowfall will begin around 6 p.m. Sunday and continue through early Monday morning, with the heaviest accumulation occurring between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. Total snowfall is expected to reach 2 to 4 inches across Northern Fairfield, Northern New Haven, Northern Middlesex, and Northern New London counties.

Forecasters warn that slippery roads could impact the Monday morning commute. In addition, a brief period of freezing drizzle may develop before precipitation ends, potentially worsening road conditions.

Drivers are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling. Officials recommend checking Connecticut’s Department of Transportation updates for real-time road conditions.
