Crews battle fire spreading on Oxnard golf course
Crews are responding to a new Southern California fire that was reported in Oxnard on Monday night.
Live footage from AlertCalifornia showed flames spreading near the River Ridge Golf Course around 8 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol incident page reported seeing a large fire breaking out in a river bottom at 7:14 p.m. near Highway 101 and Oxnard Boulevard.
Unconfirmed reports from Rangecast said the breakout started as a vehicle fire that spread to the golf course nearby.
