Dallas, TX – Heavy rain continues across North Texas, keeping flash flood warnings in effect through early Friday. While rain chances decrease by the weekend, cooler temperatures and breezy conditions will settle in.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Fort Worth, areas including Dallas, Rockwall, and Terrell remain under a flash flood warning until 8 a.m. Friday. Some locations have already recorded 4 to 7 inches of rainfall, leading to hazardous road conditions. More rain overnight could worsen flooding, particularly along I-30, I-35E, and U.S. Highway 80.

Drivers should avoid flooded roads and prepare for delays during the Friday morning commute. Rain chances decrease by midday, with afternoon highs reaching the upper 40s.

The weekend brings drier conditions but colder temperatures. Saturday morning lows will drop into the mid-30s, with highs in the low 50s under mostly sunny skies. Sunday will be slightly warmer, but a weak system may bring isolated showers late in the day.

Looking ahead, next week starts with seasonable temperatures in the upper 50s. No severe weather is expected, but residents should remain cautious on wet roads and stay updated on forecasts.
