Detroit Man Charged in Fatal Liquor Store Shooting of Girlfriend

Detroit, MI – Police charged a Detroit man in connection to the fatal shooting of his girlfriend outside a liquor store.
Officers responded to a shooting around 7:21 p.m. on West Eight Mile Road. Police found the victim, a 32-year-old Detroit woman, in her vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
According to Detroit police, Jazzie Jermale Love, 34, allegedly argued with the victim inside her car before exiting the vehicle. Authorities allege Love walked to the driver’s side, fired a handgun, and fatally wounded her.
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office charged Love with first-degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearm. Officials confirmed Love remains in custody as prosecutors pursue the case.
Detroit Police investigators are continuing their efforts in collaboration with Wayne County prosecutors. The department emphasized that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
