East Tennessee – A winter storm warning has been issued for the East Tennessee mountains, effective from 1 a.m. Sunday until 7 a.m. Monday. Heavy snowfall and strong winds are expected to create hazardous travel conditions.
According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, snowfall will range from 3 to 5 inches, with higher elevations receiving up to 10 inches. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph, further reducing visibility. The storm will impact areas including Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, and Unicoi.
