Tallahassee, FL – A new round of storms, with the potential for severe weather, is expected to impact the Florida Panhandle and surrounding regions from Saturday night into Sunday. Forecast models indicate a risk of damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, and flash flooding.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Tallahassee, the storm system will develop over southeast Alabama, the eastern Florida Panhandle, and portions of the Big Bend region, with severe conditions peaking overnight into early Sunday morning. Residents are advised to stay alert as conditions may worsen rapidly.

In the short term, cooler temperatures are expected Thursday night into Friday due to a passing cold front. Light rain or drizzle is possible by Friday afternoon as clouds and moisture return.
