Miami, FL – Residents of South Florida should prepare for increasing rain chances through Friday and into the weekend, along with warmer temperatures nearing 80 degrees by Saturday. Rip current risks remain moderate along Palm Beach County beaches, posing safety concerns for swimmers.

According to the National Weather Service, rain chances in Miami are at 49% on Friday, primarily in the afternoon and evening. Southeast winds of 6 to 10 mph will accompany the showers, with new precipitation possibly reaching three-quarters of an inch. Saturday will bring slightly drier conditions but isolated showers could still develop, especially overnight.

By Sunday, temperatures will peak at 80 degrees with mostly sunny skies. However, a weak cold front will drop highs to the upper 60s by Monday, along with another round of scattered showers. Marine conditions will also deteriorate early next week due to rough waters along the coast.

For those heading to local beaches, be cautious of rip currents, particularly near Palm Beach County. Swimmers are urged to follow local advisories and avoid entering the water in risky areas.
