Four Dead, Including 1-year-old, After Suspected DUI Driver Causes Head-on Crash in Pomona
POMONA, Calif. – A one-year-old kid died days after three others were killed in a wrong-way crash on the 60 Freeway in Pomona, according to authorities.
The crash occurred Saturday around 11 p.m. on westbound 60, just west of Reservoir Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP, 24-year-old Rick Rodriguez was going the wrong way down the motorway when he collided with a Honda Civic carrying three people: two ladies and a one-year-old infant.

The two adults were killed in the incident, and the toddler was brought to the hospital with serious injuries but died Tuesday morning, according to the CHP Baldwin Park station.
Rodriguez died Sunday after being hospitalized with serious injuries. He had been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or narcotics.
A woman was injured in a second crash and suffered minor injuries.
