Atlanta, GA – North Georgia is set to receive significant rainfall through the weekend, with a strong chance of flooding in some areas. According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, there is a greater than 70% probability of at least four inches of rain falling in the northern Georgia mountains by Sunday.

The highest rainfall probabilities are in Rome, where there is a 79% chance of four inches and an 11% chance of eight inches. Atlanta has a 45% likelihood of receiving at least four inches, while Athens stands at 36%.
