Peachtree City, GA – A winter storm warning and weather advisory are in effect for north and central Georgia, with snowfall and freezing temperatures expected to cause hazardous conditions today and Wednesday. Looking ahead, conditions will improve later this week, with partly cloudy skies Thursday and highs reaching the low 40s. By Friday, sunny weather is expected, with temperatures nearing 44°F. However, icy roadways could linger in shaded areas, particularly in rural and secondary roads.
Residents are advised to stay informed about changing conditions and monitor local updates. For the latest road conditions, call 511 or visit the Georgia Department of Transportation’s website.
Be sure to dress warmly and allow extra time for travel. The hazardous weather outlook warns of bitter wind chills and icy conditions throughout central Georgia.
