Green Bay Residents Face Wind Chills of 35 Below Zero Through Tuesday Morning

Green Bay, WI – An Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect for east-central and northeastern Wisconsin, including Green Bay, from midnight Monday through noon Tuesday. Residents are advised to prepare for dangerously cold wind chills, reaching as low as 35 below zero in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service, the coldest conditions are expected overnight and into Tuesday morning. Frostbite can occur on exposed skin within 10 to 20 minutes, with hypothermia also posing a severe risk. A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight Monday, with wind chills as low as 29 below in the region.

Counties affected include Marinette, Oconto, Door, Brown, and Outagamie, among others. Further north, areas like Langlade and Vilas counties could see wind chills as severe as 45 below zero.

Residents are urged to dress in multiple layers, covering exposed skin with hats, gloves, and face masks if venturing outdoors. Pets should be kept indoors, and outdoor animals must have warm shelter, food, and access to unfrozen water.
