Guns N’ Roses member takes final bow after nearly 20 years

The members of Guns N’ Roses are saying goodbye to one of their longtime members.

On Wednesday, the band announced that drummer Frank Ferrer had taken his final bow and has left the group.

They assured fans that it was an “amicable exit.”

“The band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity, and sturdy presence over the past 19 years and wish him success in the next chapter of his musical journey,” Guns N’ Roses said in a statement posted on Instagram.

Ferrer joined the group during a show in June of 2006. The band credits him for anchoring “the rhythm section during the subsequent tours.” Among those tours include the reuniting of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan.

He replaced Bryan “Brain” Mantia and is the longest-tenured drummer with the legendary rockband.

Ferrer’s last show took place on Nov. 5, 2023 in Mexico.

Right now the band consists of Rose, Slash, McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus and Melissa Reese. They captioned the social media post saying, “Thank you, Frank. For the friendship, creativity and sturdy presence over the last 19 years.”
